The path to a digital process chain in the PDC
A Step away from Excel
The Realization of our Digital Process Chain
What has been a recurring topic for many years is now becoming a reality: the introduction of a digital workflow in the PDC.
From Excel spreadsheets to digital management with Ulysses
Excel spreadsheets from various departments are gradually being replaced and managed by Ulysses. This allows us to create a unified database and significantly reduce manual duplication of work.
Data entry becomes easier, faster, and less prone to errors. Up-to-date information is available at any time—the live status is transparent and immediately visible.
Automation and Digital Mapping of Processes
With custom-developed apps, it will be even easier in the future to digitally map the automation of the bill of materials (BOM) workflow, as well as the processes and optimizations carried out by AWT. Additionally, 2D drawings will only be available digitally. This enables us to quickly adapt processes, create transparency, and share information in a matter of seconds.
The Long Journey to a Solution
After about five years as a challenging ongoing issue, we are now on the verge of a solution that is also practical for everyday use. An important milestone—for efficiency, transparency, and future-proof processes.
